Treatments for Men and Women

Weight loss: We provide medically supervised weight loss programs that include a healthy eating plan, exercise guidance, and prescription medications that are approved by Health Canada for weight loss. Medications may be covered by private health plans.

Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN): This treatment refers to the administration of naltrexone, a medication originally used to treat opioid and alcohol dependence, at significantly lower dosages than typically prescribed for addiction treatment. When used in low doses, typically ranging from 1.5 to 4.5 milligrams per day, LDN is believed to modulate the immune system and reduce inflammation. This has made it an area of interest for treating a variety of conditions including autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and Crohn’s disease, as well as chronic pain and certain cancers. While research is ongoing, many patients and practitioners have reported positive effects from LDN in managing symptoms and improving quality of life in these conditions.

At this time, using LDN therapy for the above conditions is considered an off label use, fortunately, there are some universities and private researches that continue to study this drug and we are hopeful, that more and more evidence will support its use.

Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) Treatment

Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) is an advanced regenerative treatment that leverages the body’s natural healing processes to rejuvenate skin, improve joint function, and promote hair growth. PRF is derived from your own blood, making it a safe and highly effective option for various cosmetic and medical applications.

How PRF Works:

PRF is created by drawing a small amount of your blood and spinning it in a centrifuge to separate the platelets, fibrin, and white blood cells from the rest of the blood components. This process concentrates these healing factors into a fibrin matrix, which is then injected into the target area. The fibrin matrix acts as a scaffold that releases growth factors over time, promoting tissue regeneration and healing.

Applications of PRF:

1. Knee Injections:
– Use: PRF can be injected into the knee joint to alleviate pain and promote healing in cases of osteoarthritis or other joint injuries.
-Benefits:Reduces inflammation, stimulates tissue repair, and enhances joint function, offering a natural alternative to more invasive treatments.

2. Hair Restoration:
– Use:PRF is applied to the scalp to stimulate hair follicles and promote hair growth in individuals experiencing hair thinning or loss.
– Benefits: Encourages natural hair growth, improves hair density, and strengthens existing hair.

Advantages of PRF:

– Comfortable and Low Risk: Since PRF is derived from your own blood, the risk of allergic reactions or adverse effects is minimal. The procedure is relatively painless, with most patients experiencing only mild discomfort.
– Superior to PRP: Unlike Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), which primarily contains platelets, PRF includes a fibrin matrix and a higher concentration of white blood cells, leading to more sustained and effective healing.
– Natural and Long-Lasting: PRF provides a gradual and natural improvement, with results that can last longer due to the sustained release of growth factors.
