Neuromodulators

Known as Botox, Dysport, Nucieva and Xeomin. These injections are administered to temporarily relax certain facial muscles to decrease fine lines and lift certain facial features. Neuromodulators have been used in aesthetic medicine since 2002 and long before that in the medical field. Treatments are quick, relatively painless and require no down time.

Dermal Fillers

These are made up of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance within your body. They are injected to restore lost volume, boost collagen, and soften fine lines and wrinkles. We start to lose collagen after the age of 30 and using dermal fillers can help to restore youthfulness. Post treatment, you may experience a small amount of bruising or swelling, most clients return to usual activities the following day.

What is a Biostimulator?

A biostimulator is a cutting-edge treatment used in aesthetic medicine to rejuvenate and enhance the skin's appearance by stimulating the body’s natural collagen production. Unlike traditional fillers that add volume directly, biostimulators work gradually, encouraging the skin to rebuild its underlying structure for a more natural and lasting result.

Biostimulators are injected into the skin where they trigger the body’s natural response to produce collagen. This process takes time, leading to gradual improvements in skin texture, firmness, and volume. The effects are long lasting, as the newly produced collagen helps maintain the skin's youthful appearance over time.

Types of Biostimulators include:

1. Sculptra®:
Active Ingredient:Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA).
Mechanism: Sculptra works by stimulating collagen production deep within the skin, restoring its inner structure and volume over a series of treatments.
Duration: Results can last more than two years, with gradual improvement seen over several months.
Ideal For: Sculptra is best for those looking to address deeper facial wrinkles and folds and seeking a more comprehensive volumizing effect. This product is best placed in the face or buttocks for a non-surgical butt lift.

2. Radiesse®:
– Active Ingredient: Calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres.
– Mechanism: Radiesse provides immediate volume and lift to the skin, and its microspheres stimulate collagen production over time.
Duration: Results can last up to a year or more, with both immediate and long-term benefits.
Ideal For: Radiesse is excellent for enhancing facial contours, correcting moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, and rejuvenating the hands and neck. Radiesse can also be placed in the buttocks, knee area and abdomen.

A consultation with our qualified Nurse Practitioner is the best way to determine if biostimulators like Sculptra or Radiesse are right for you. During the consultation, your specific concerns, goals, and medical history will be evaluated to create a personalized treatment plan that ensures optimal results.

Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) Treatment

Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) is an advanced regenerative treatment that leverages the body’s natural healing processes to rejuvenate skin, improve joint function, and promote hair growth. PRF is derived from your own blood, making it a safe and highly effective option for various cosmetic and medical applications.

How PRF Works:

PRF is created by drawing a small amount of your blood and spinning it in a centrifuge to separate the platelets, fibrin, and white blood cells from the rest of the blood components. This process concentrates these healing factors into a fibrin matrix, which is then injected into the target area. The fibrin matrix acts as a scaffold that releases growth factors over time, promoting tissue regeneration and healing.

Applications of PRF:

1. Facial Rejuvenation:
– Use: PRF can be injected into the face to reduce wrinkles, improve skin texture, and enhance overall facial appearance.
– Benefits: Promotes collagen production, resulting in smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin.

2. Under-Eye Treatment:
– Use: PRF is highly effective for treating dark circles, fine lines, and hollowness under the eyes.
– Benefits: Improves skin quality and elasticity, providing a natural, refreshed look without the use of synthetic fillers.
