As we age our hormones decrease and become unbalanced which can lead to a number of adverse effects on the body, which include, but are not limited to, decreased libido, low mood, weight gain, hair loss, fatigue, acne, and bloating.

Bioidentical hormone therapy is not always treating a deficiency, often it is, but often it is bringing your hormones back to your optimal levels. The optimal level range is where you will feel and perform your best. Just because your primary care practitioner indicates that your hormones are in the normal range, these are the ranges for a 19-90 year old. When prescribing bioidentical hormones, we do monitor lab values, however, we do adjust doses based on your feedback and more importantly, how you feel!

Men and women experience and exhibit the effects of hormone imbalances differently. Our goal is to isolate the cause of the imbalance and treat it with a number of prescribed hormones. The process is simple, after your initial consultation and patient intake, we will provide you with a requisition for blood work in order to identify any imbalances. We will then prescribe the appropriate treatments to OPTIMIZE your hormone levels. Potential hormones prescribed include:

Hormones are administered via injection, oral tablets, sublingual tablets, compounded creams, gels or patches depending on the treatment and preferred route of application.

Your symptoms and lab values will be monitored regularly by Vitalis and treatments will be adjusted as needed.
